Where 10,000 years of ancestral wisdom meets the governance challenges of the next century — from genetic engineering to space colonization.
The central intellectual contribution of Vilu Institute — a governance system for transformative technologies grounded in ancestral wisdom and applied across ten critical cases.
Ancestral Evolution addresses the binary impasse between unconstrained transhumanism and bioconservatism. Drawing on the Az Mapu — the cosmic law of the Mapuche people — and validated across comparative analysis of 15 ancestral traditions, it proposes a four-pillar evaluation system, seven levels of consciousness, and a dual assessment mechanism (AI + community governance) that produces concrete, measurable verdicts on transformative technologies.
The framework has been applied to eleven technologies — from CRISPR to planetary terraforming — yielding an average approval rate of 81% with strict safeguards, and a definitive rejection of mass AI surveillance (37.5%), demonstrating that the system has genuine limits, not just conditional approvals.
Does this technology facilitate conscious movement or generate dependency and enclosure? The test of directional freedom.
Does this technology preserve the flow of ancestral memory and transgenerational values, or rupture it?
Does this technology return more than it takes from the universe? The principle of cosmic balance over extraction.
Does this technology strengthen community cohesion across all scales, or fragment it into permanent castes?
Vilu Institute distinguishes between peer-reviewed philosophical frameworks and exploratory research. Both advance the Ancestral Evolution corpus.
The foundational governance framework for transformative technologies. Four-pillar evaluation methodology (Tuwün, Küpalme, Mapu, Lof), seven consciousness levels, dual AI+community evaluation system, and analysis of eleven technology cases — including the definitive rejection of mass AI surveillance (37.5%) and approval of radical life extension (100%).
Governance architecture for multi-planetary civilization. Six articles establishing constitutional subjects (including verified-consciousness AI and extraterrestrial life), five-level Lof federal structure, seven absolute prohibitions, and a ratification process that gives indigenous peoples effective veto power. Derived from the Philadelphia Convention as historical precedent for anticipatory governance.
Complete consciousness assessment methodology for technology access. Comparative analysis across six traditions (Mapuche, Kabbalah, Transpersonal Psychology, Vedanta, LDS, Shamanic initiation), full phenomenological description of each level, dual AI+community evaluation protocol with open-source algorithm, five concrete case studies including successful appeal, failed appeal, and level regression.
The Sephardic intellectual heritage of the corpus: Kabbalah and the Sefirot as a consciousness map, Tikkun Olam as ethics of space governance, the Golem as founding AI warning, and the pan-ancestral trinity (Mapuche + Sephardic + LDS) that grounds Ancestral Evolution.

Maps the three-level architecture (philosophical → constitutional → methodological), explains how all five documents relate to each other, and provides reading paths tailored to five audience types: governments, technology companies, researchers, indigenous communities, and individuals.

Apply to Vilu AcademyVilu Institute is the research and educational division of Vilu International LLC, a space governance consulting company founded in 2016. Under the direction of President Rogelio Alejandro Henríquez Lepillán (R.A. HenLep), the Institute develops governance frameworks for the technologies that will define the next century.
Our work emerges from a unique synthesis: Mapuche heritage from the Lepillán lineage of Valle Reputo, Wallmapu, Chile; Sephardic ancestry through the Henríquez line; and formation within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These three traditions — indigenous, Semitic, and restoration — converge in Ancestral Evolution as a pan-ancestral philosophy that does not represent any single community but draws from all.
The Institute operates on the principle that the most pressing governance challenges of our era — from CRISPR to terraforming, from AGI to radical life extension — cannot be solved by Western philosophy alone. They require the integration of wisdom traditions that were never forced to separate mind from body, individual from community, or science from ethics.
